X Clown earns third career stakes win

Jimmy Creed’s veteran sprinter X Clown tallied the third stakes win of his career Saturday at Louisiana Downs with a game victory in the $75,000 Louisiana Cup Sprint S. [WATCH RACE]
X Clown, who is owned by BW & HTS Stables, LLC and Jason Grudzien, has earned $327,270 and has won or placed in seven career stakes starts.
Among Jimmy Creed’s double-digit stakes horses in 2023 are Kelso S. (G3) winner Casa Creed and Bay Shore S. (G3) Joey Freshwater.
X Clown broke very alertly and took the lead in the first furlong. He guided the field through fractions of :22.55 and :45.72 with Mike J pressing him. X Clown held his position on the rail as he cut the corner into the stretch. Mike J and Pickens both put strong pressure on him in the stretch, but X Clown was up to the task, winning by nearly a length in 1:11.06 for six furlongs on a fast track.
X Clown was bred by Michael and Cynthia Villar and comes from the family of multiple graded stakes winner Go Go.
