Wicked Strong to close out career in Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1)

Wicked Strong, who will begin his stallion duties at Spendthrift Farm in 2016, will finish his outstanding racing career in Friday’s $1 million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) at Keeneland.
Throughout his three years of racing, 4-year-old Wicked Strong has competed against the best and amassed nearly $2 million during his career, with wins in the Wood Memorial (G1) and Jim Dandy S. (G2) among the highlights.
In Friday’s Mile, Wicked Strong will face a field of 10 others. The Centennial Farms colorbearer, who will break from post 8 under John Velazquez, was made the 5-1 second choice on the morning line.
The Dirt Mile is race 7 on Friday’s card, with a scheduled post time of 4:10 p.m. ET.
