November 11, 2019
Wicked Strong’s First-Crop winners’ tally is up to 19 after adding three more maiden winners over the past three days, including two on Sunday.
In the past two weeks along, Wicked Strong has accounted for six winners, Grade 2 winner Wicked Runner and the stakes-placed Wicked Warrior. After breeding 131 mares in 2019, Wicked Strong will stand the 2020 season for $6,000 stands and nurses.
Myawaya used every bit of the Aqueduct stretch to win the 6 ½-furlong contest. Trailing by three lengths with a sixteenth to run, she caught New York Supreme in the final stride to win by a nose (VIDEO).
Myawaya is owned by Lianna Stables, Inc. and bred by Anlyn Farms and is a half-sister to the stakes-placed 3-year-old Into Mischief filly More Mischief.
Wicked Strong’s second Sunday winner Text Dont Call also broke her maiden by a nose, going a mile on the turf at Golden Gate Fields. The chestnut filly was bred by Fred Hertrich III and John Fielding and is from the family of multiple Grade 1 winner Stop Traffic and multiple graded winner Gouldings Green.
