Wall of Compassion latest MdSpWt winner for Jimmy Creed
July 7, 2017
Jimmy Creed got his fifth winner from his first crop on July 7 at Belmont Park when Wall of Compassion won her six-furlong maiden special weight contest by a nose with a rousing finish (VIDEO).
The Spendthrift stallion is the first Freshman Sire of 2017 to register five winners from his first crop and the only freshman sire with a track record setter in Admiral Jimmy, who went on to place in the $150,000 Tremont S. at Belmont Park.
With a loose-on-the-lead Girl’s Night setting all the pace, Wall of Compassion had to make up four lengths in the stretch to catch her foe. With a final surge, she hit the wire a nose in front, completing the six furlongs in 1:12.52 on a muddy racetrack.
The winner is owned by Michael Dubb and bred in Kentucky by Tim and Nancy Hamlin. Out of Eastern Ruckus, Wall of Compassion is a sister to six winners, including two-time stakes winner Ladyecho.
