Vino Rosso filly graduates by 7 ¼-lengths in debut
July 8, 2023
Vino Rosso chalked up his fifth First-Crop winner on July 7 when Vinos Angel strutted to a 7 ¼-length victory in a 5 ½-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-old fillies at Pleasanton.
Vino Rosso, along with fellow Spendthrift freshman sire Maximus Mischief, tops the First-Crop sire list by winners. Vino Rosso holds the top spot by himself by stakes winners and stakes horses.
Vinos Angel was much the best in her Friday debut. She tussled with Big Catty for a quarter-mile before she began to pull away. She was very impressive in the stretch as she widened all the way to the wire under a hand ride.
The winner is owned by Tony & Angela Adams et al. Bred by Stoneriggs Farm in Kentucky, Vinos Angel is the second foal out of the Hard Spun mare Twisted Adage.
