Vino Rosso colt sparkles in Saratoga stretchout

Dancing Groom powered to a five-length maiden special weight win at a mile early on the Saratoga Saturday card to give Vino Rosso a half-dozen winners from his first crop of runners.

Dancing Groom was stretching out in distance after trying six furlongs in his July 22 debut. He stalked the pace through the first half-mile, and despite being wide on both turns, powerfully swooped to the lead coming into the stretch and drew clear to win in dominating fashion.

Dancing Groom picked up $57,750 in victory for Eduardo Soto. The chestnut colt was bred in Kentucky by the Don Alberto Corporation.
