Undefeated Goldencents filly romps again, named Rising Star
March 19, 2020
Ain’t No Elmers blasted past the field at the top of the Fair Grounds stretch to roll to a nine-length win in Thursday’s six-furlong contest, earning a TDN ‘Rising Star’ tag for the outstanding effort (VIDEO).
The daughter of Goldencents, who won her debut on Feb. 15, was content to sit off horses until just before entering the stretch, when she went effortlessly past the leaders and opened up with ease to get the distance in a swift 1:10.51.
Ain’t No Elmers is owned by John & Iveta Kerber and Jon Lapczenski. John Kerber is also the filly’s breeder.
Goldencents was last year’s leading Second-Crop Sire and is second on the 2020 Third-Crop Sire list with 27 individual winners and over $1.3 million in progeny earnings to date. The Spendthrift stallion will be represented this Saturday by Mailman Money in the Louisiana Derby (G2) and By My Standards in the New Orleans Classic (G2), both at Fair Grounds.
