Thousand Words’ Vodka With a Twist draws inside for Juvenile Fillies (G1)

Vodka With a Twist, who will be Thousand Words’ first Breeders’ Cup starter, drew the rail in the field of 10 2-year-olds in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) Friday at Del Mar.
The Phil D’Amato trainee brings a solid resume into the 1 1/16-mile race, including runner up finishes in both the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and Sorrento S. (G3), which was also at the Breeders’ Cup venue.
Vodka With a Twist started her stakes career in the Debutante S. June 30 at Churchill Downs, a race she won by a convincing three lengths. The dark bay filly is owned by Medallion Racing, Omar Aldabbagh, and William Strauss and has earned $299,320. She was bred by Pillar Property Services Inc.
The Juvenile Fillies is race 7 with a post time of 3:25 pm PT.
