November 29, 2024

Relator broke on top and was never headed in his maiden-breaking win on Nov. 29 at Gulfstream Park, winning by 1 ½-lengths in the 5 ½-furlong contest on the Tapeta surface.

The 2-year-old is the 18th winner for Thousand Words, who currently sits in fifth on the First-Crop Sire list. The Spendthrift stallion also registered his second graded stakes winner over the Thanksgiving weekend when Caribbean Gal won the Clasico Accion de Gracias (G1) in Puerto Rico on Nov. 28.

Relator, who was beaten just a neck in his Nov. 3 debut, was in command the entire trip on Friday. He led by a length through fractions of :22.47 and :45.42, then finished up in 1:03.73 while winning comfortably.

Relator races for Korina Stable and was bred in Kentucky by Haymarket Farm LLC, Kelly T Jackson & J. Brian Lyle & Theresa M Fik.
