Strong returns for Into Mischief at OBS
March 13, 2018
The first session of the March 13-14 OBS Two-year-olds in Training Sale wrapped up another solid sales day for leading sire Into Mischief, with all of his offerings bringing at least $200,000 and a daily average of $260,000.
Topping the day was hip No. 157, consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, and purchased for $290,000 by Live Oak Plantation. The bay filly, who zipped through her Under Tack Show work in 10 seconds flat, is out of Anna Sun, who is a full sister to Saratoga stakes winner Dark Thunder.
Close on the heels of the top seller was hip No. 115, a gray or roan colt consigned by Cary Frommer, agent. Eclipse Thoroughbreds and Repole Stable partnered up to secure the colt for $280,000. The colt is out of Well, who is also the dam of millionaire and four-time graded stakes winner Kobe’s Back, as well as Grade 3 winner Well Spelled.
Into Mischief, last year’s worldwide leading 3-year-old sire, is well-represented on the Triple Crown trail again this year with Holy Bull S. (G2) winner Audible and Tiz Mischief, who finished third in that same race.
