Southern Mischief shines in stakes debut

Southern Mischief, a 3-year-old daughter of Into Mischief, won her stakes debut in fine fashion on Saturday, taking the $75,000 First Lady S. at Mahoning Valley by by 4 1/2-lengths.
The win was also the filly’s fourth straight victory as she make the journey from maiden to stakes winner in less than fourth months.
Owned by Loooch Racing Stables, Southern Mischief was a $100,000 purchase at the 2016 OBS March Sale of 2-year-olds. The winner was bred by Justice Farm and is a half-sister to stakes winner Memphisinmay.
Into Mischief is the sire of 16 stakes winners and 32 stakes horses overall this year, with progeny earnings of nearly $9.5 million. He’ll stand the 2018 season at Spendthrift Farm for $100,000 live foal.
