Shakin It Up colt hammers for $200,000 at F-T Gulfstream

Shakin It Up’s $200,000 colt sold at the Fasig-Tipton Florida 2019 Two-Year-Olds in Training sale was the Spendthrift stallion’s highest-priced juvenile yet during the early stages of the 2-year-old auction season.
Consigned by Scanlon Training and Sales, agent, hip No. 83 went to Janet Lyons.
The dark bay is out of Mon Ange and is a half-brother to five winners. Mon Ange’s siblings include stakes winners Hatfield and Key Hunter, as well as Cabo de Noche, the dam of multiple graded stakes winner and $1.7 million earner Pants on Fire.
Shakin It Up’s 2-year-old sales average this year is a healthy $118,333, more than 23 times his 2019 stud fee of $5,000.
