Regally-bred Into Mischief filly named a TDN Rising Star
July 29, 2019
Into Mischief got his second TDN Rising Star in as many days on Sunday when the 2-year-old filly Immediate Impact strolled home by nearly seven lengths in her 5 ½-furlong maiden special weight debut at Del Mar.
The Clearview Stables runner is out of multiple stakes winner Miss Bubbler, making her a half-sister to champion Arrogate, the all-time leading earner in North America.
In front at the break, Immediate Impact let longshot Majestic Gigi gun to the lead, then easily passed her midway on the turn and widened her lead the rest of the way to win officially by 6 ¾-lengths under a hand ride
‘She got away well and got away right,” said trainer Bob Baffert. “Drayden [Van Dyke] did the right thing. Arrogate his first time was a mess, and she looking around everywhere. We won’t be able to run her back until the (Del Mar) Debutante (G1, Aug. 31) We know she’s a nice filly.”
With 11 winners and three stakes horses over the past six days, Into Mischief moved into the top spot in on the 2019 General Sire list. He now has 141 winners, nearly 30 more than any other stallion, and $9.5 million in progeny earnings.
