Raging Torrent, winner of three straight races, will put his winning streak on the line in Saturday’s $2 million Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) at Del Mar.

The 3-year-old son of Maximus Mischief won his most recent start, the Pat O’Brien S. (G2) Aug. 24 at Del Mar. His first stakes win came on June 30 at Churchill Downs in the Maxfield S.

With his inside post in the field of 11, Raging Torrent will use his considerable early speed to establish a front-running position.

Trained by Doug O’Neill, Raging Torrent will be ridden by Anthony Fresu, his regular jockey. The bay colt is owned by Mark Davis and Great Friends Stables and was bred in Kentucky by Rodney Winkler and Alfonso Mazzetti.

The six-furlong Sprint is race 10 on Saturday, with a post time of 7:05 pm ET.

Raging Torrent is one of seven stakes winners this year by Maximus Mischief, which is second to only fellow Spendthrift stallion Omaha Beach on the Second-Crop sire list.
