Red-hot Bolt d’Oro strikes again at F-T Midlantic sale with $500K colt
May 24, 2022
Bolt d’Oro’s first crop was in the spotlight again early on Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale when a colt by the Spendthrift stallion brought a winning bid of $500,000.
Bolt d’Oro, who stands for $25,000, now has had 11 individuals sell for at least a half-million dollars. His first crop has already had a pair of winners on the racetrack as well.
Hip No. 364, consigned by Kings Equine, agent, went to Holly and David Wilson.
The dark bay colt is out of the stakes-winning Australian mare Forever Discreet, and his second and third dams are both stakes winners and multiple stakes producers in the southern hemisphere.
