Palace filly posts 10-second flat work at F-T Gulfstream
March 25, 2019
A filly by First-Crop sire Palace had one of the fastest works of the day during Monday’s Under Tack show for the upcoming Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream Sale of 2-year-olds.
The bay juvenile zipped through a furlong in 10 seconds flat, just one tick off the fastest move of the day (VIDEO).
Consigned by Eddie Woods, agent, and cataloged as hip No. 100, the filly is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Theperfectvow, out of Prenuptial Vow. The filly’s female family also boasts the likes of champions Twice Over (GB) and Banshee Breeze.
“The Palace I have in the Gulfstream sale is on the special side. Just stunningly beautiful and very fast,” said Woods before the filly turned in her dazzling work for the March 27 auction.
Palace, one of six Spendthrift stallions whose first crop are 2-year-olds of 2019, is part of the farm’s innovative “Safe Bet” program, which guarantees a group/graded stakes winner by the stallion this year, or stud fees for the subsequent foal of 2020 will be waived.
