Omaha Beach kicks off F-T sale with a $220,000 filly

Omaha Beach’s first weanling through the ring at the Fasig-Tipton November sale brought a top bid of $220,000. With his second offering selling very strong as well, for $140,000, the multiple Grade 1 winner closed out Tuesday’s one-day sale with an average of $180,000.
Hip No. 46, a filly bred by Final Furlong Racing Stable & Maspeth Stable, was consigned by Ballysax Bloodstock, agent. The bay youngster was purchased by Sewannee Investments.
The filly’s dam Glory Gold has already produced four-time stakes winner Espresso Shot and the undefeated 2-year-old filly Venti Valentine, who won the Maid of the Mist S. on Oct. 30 at Belmont Park.
Omaha Beach, who bred 215 mares in each of his first two seasons at Spendthrift, has a total of 22 weanling in the Keenland November sale that runs through Nov. 19.
