Mutasaabeq Into Mischief’s newest TDN Rising Star
August 9, 2020
Mutasaabeq drew off to a 4 ½-length maiden special weight debut victory Saturday at Saratoga to give Into Mischief his 16th lifetime TDN Rising Star.
Sent away the odds-on favorite, the 2-year-old Shadwell Stable colt did not disappoint, coming three-wide entering the stretch to assume command, then pull away with authority to get the 5 ½-furlongs in a solid 1:03.55 (VIDEO).
The winner was bred by BlackRidge Stables LLC in Kentucky and sold to his owner for $425,000 at the 2018 Keeneland November sale. He is the first foal out of Downside Scenario, who is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Cool Cowboy.
Prior to Mutasaabeq, Into Mischief’s most recent TDN Rising Star was Gamine on March 7. Gamine has gone on to win the Acorn S. (G1) and Saturday’s Test S. (G1) at Saratoga, both in dominating fashion and making her one of the favorites for this year’s Kentucky Oaks (G1).
