Mor Spirit filly zips to five-length debut victory
July 23, 2022
Nodah was a decisive winner of her July 23 debut at Evangeline Downs, taking the “about” five-furlong contest by five lengths to give Mor Spirit his third winner from his first crop of runners.
Mor Spirit also recently had his first stakes horse when the 2-year-old filly Velocitor, who broke her maiden on June 30, came back to place in the $100,000 Victoria S. on July 17 at Woodbine.
Nodah quickly made the lead as she broke from the rail and never let any of her foes within a length after the first furlong. She increased her margin substantially at the top of the stretch and was hand-ridden to the wire for the win (WATCH RACE).
Nodah is owned by Amar Al Ahbabi and was bred by J. Adcock and Nathan C. Granger. Out of Forest Path, Nodah is a half-sister to stakes winner Happy Sailor.
