Mor Spirit colt leads all the way in Fair Grounds MdSpWt

Machine Gun Man shot out of the gate and never was headed in a six-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds on Nov. 27 at Fair Grounds (WATCH RACE).

The dark bay is the 15^th winner by top-10 First-Crop sire Mor Spirit, who has also accounted for three stakes horses to date, led by $200,000 Coronation Cup winner Velocitor.

After establishing the lead immediately, Machine Gun Man was always at least a length in front of his competition and kept to task all the way to the wire, winning by 1 ½-lengths over Into Mischief’s Rally Board.

The winner is owned by J. Patrick Lee Racing LLC and was bred in Kentucky by St. Simon Place LLC.
