Mitole filly tops half-million dollar mark at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale

Mitole, the nation’s leading Second-Crop sire by both winners and wins, was represented by a $525,000 filly during Tuesday’s session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling sale.

Consigned by St. George Sales, agent, hip No. 206 went to Tulip Stables.

The dark bay filly is out of Vigui’s Heart, whose first foal to race is Valiant Force winner of the Norfolk S. (G2) in England and runner up in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1). This is also the extended family of two-time champion Housebuster.

After finishing 2023 as the Champion First-Crop sire, Mitole is once again at the top among his generation in 2024 with 52 winners of 75 races. Among his seven stakes horses are the stakes winners Miuccia, Mr Fillip and Halina’s Forte. The latter of that trio is entered in this Saturday’s $150,000 Galway S. on the turf at Saratoga.
