Maximus Mischief filly rockets to eye-catching victory in debut

Carmelina was much the best in her June 18 maiden special weight unveiling at Parx, rolling to a 5 ¾-length victory in the 4 ½-furlong contest for 2-year-old fillies.

The daughter of Maximus Mischief was on the engine from the start and was up by a length in the opening strides. She continued to widen on the turn and did not let up in the stretch to win as she pleased.

Carmelina was bred by Lillith Boucher and is owned by Cash Is King LLC and LC Racing LLC. The bay filly is the first foal out of two-time stakes winner Complete St.

Maximus Mischief now has three winners, all in maiden special weights, tying him for the top spot on the First-Crop sire list.
