Keeneland September Day 1 wrap: Into Mischief

Into Mischief’s first session average of the Keeneland September Yearling sale was $467,500, topped by a $550,000 colt purchased by Robert Baker and William Mack.
Lane’s End consigned the colt, hip No. 159. The bay juvenile’s dam Divine Presence is out of Divine Proportions, who was the champion filly in Europe at both 2 and 3.
Into Mischief’s other offering during the session, hip No. 102 consigned by Brandywine Farm, went to Alistair Roden Bloodstock for $385,000. The filly’s dam Teamgeist was a multiple graded winner in her native Argentina, and placed in Keeneland’s Spinster S. (G1). She is the dam of multiple graded winner House Rules and Grade 1-placed Win the Space.
Into Mischief, who ranks in the top 10 on the 2017 General Sire list with top-class runners such as Practical Joke and One Liner, has a total of 59 yearlings cataloged in the sale, which runs through Sept. 23.
