Slightly earlier in the session a filly consigned by Machmer Hall, agent, hip No. 675, went to White Birch Farm for $310,000. The second foal out of Danzig Girl, the bay Kentucky-bred is closely related to Cigar Mile (G1) winner Jersey Town.
Bolt d’Oro’s third lot to surpass the quarter-million dollar mark was hip No. 620. A filly consigned by Sequel New York, she sold to Solis and Litt for $270,000. Another bay, she is out of Avendesora, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Your Bluffing and Echo Bluff, the dam of Grade 1 winner Currency Swap.
Bolt d’Oro’s overall 2021 yearling average of $275,625 is in the top five of all freshman sires this year. Bolt d’Oro has a total of 65 lots remaining in the Keeneland Sale, which runs through Sept. 24.
