Kajawa prevails in tough Churchill Downs MdSpWt

Cross Traffic now has a dozen first-crop winners after Kajawa battled to win a Churchill Downs maiden special weight by a head on Saturday afternoon (VIDEO).

Cross Traffic trails only fellow Spendthrift stallion Goldencents by winners on the Freshman Sire list, while he leads the list by black type horses, black type winners and repeat winners.

Kajawa earned her victory despite being five-wide on the turn, as she out-fought Workaholic, who had a rail trip most of the way. The win was worth $33,600 for Kajawa’s breeder/owner T/C Stable, LLC.
