Jimmy Creed’s Strike Lightning prevails in Bold Forbes S. (G2)

Strike Lightning won his fourth consecutive start on June 16 with a 2 ¼-length tally over the highly regarded Dazzling Gem in the Clasico Bold Forbes (G2) at Camarero Race Track.

The 4-year-old by Jimmy Creed, bred by Spendthrift Farm, has now captured 11 of 17 starts for Establo Florida.

Stalking the pace most of the 1 1/16-mile trip, Strike Lightning ran down heavily-favored Dazzling Gem in mid-stretch and won going away over the 2017 Louisiana Derby (G2) third-place finisher.

Strike Lightning is out of Shy Girl, a sister to a trio of stakes winners. With nine stakes horses already this year, Jimmy Creed is in the top five on the Third-Crop Sire list.
