Trained by Bret Calhoun for owner/breeder Allied Racing Stable, Jack Hammer pressed Marks Promise for six furlongs, then moved up along side for the stretch run. He surged past and won drawing off, with the rest of the field a dozen lengths behind the runner-up.
With the win, Jack Hammer has now earned $157,755. Out of Lipstick Junky, Jack Hammer is a half-brother to three-time stakes winner Winning Romance.
