Irish Maxima caps terrific 2024 with double-digit romp in Mrs. Claus S.

December 31, 2024

Maximus Mischief’s filly Irish Maxima collected her second stakes win of the year in dominating fashion Dec. 31 at Parx, rolling to a 13 ¾-length victory in the Mrs. Claus S.

The 3-year-old has had a stellar year, winning four of five starts for trainer John Servis and owner Irish Three Racing LLC. The bay filly is one of nine stakes winners in 2024 for her sire, helping to push him over the $6 million mark in progeny earnings and into the top five on the Second-Crop sire list.

Odds-on in Tuesday’s seven-furlong race, Irish Maxima went right to the front at the start and was in complete control throughout. She opened up a four-length lead at the midway point and widened from there without ever being asked. Her final time of 1:24.68 over a very sloppy racetrack earned her a career-best Beyer Speed Figure of 101.

With six wins and a second in nine career starts, Irish Maxima has earned $299,915. She was bred in Kentucky by Pillar Property Services Inc. and is out of the Canadien stakes winner Palace Pier, who has produced 10 foals to race, all winners.
