Into Mischief tallies a trio of seven-figure yearlings Tuesday at Keeneland

Three yearlings by Into Mischief his the $1 million mark during the Tuesday session of the Keeneland September Yearling sale, giving the five-time champion sire a total of four during the first two days of the marathon auction.
Topping the session for his sire on day 2 was hip No. 345, a colt consigned by Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck’s Summerfield on behalf of his breeder, Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings. The colt sold to Monique Delk for $1.75 million, who was bidding on behalf of Vinnie Viola’s St Elias Stable.
Out of Catch the Moon, the bay colt is a half-brother to Haskell Inv. (G1) winner Girvin and Preakness S. (G1) runner-up Midnight Bourbon.
“He is a beautiful colt with a fantastic walk,” Delk said. “We fell in love with him right away. We look for the Classic stallion prospect horses and this horse fit what we’re looking for.
“This (Into Mischief) had the beautiful balance and had the right size,” Delk continued. “He is a very Classic-looking horse with an elegant walk. He brought the whole package for us.”
Into Mischief had the top-priced filly of the session when hip No. 210, from the Gainesway consignment, sold for $1.5 million to David Lanigan acting on behalf of Scott Heider.
“She’s strong, she looks like she could do both turf or dirt.,” said Lanigan, seated alongside trainer Brendan Walsh during the bidding. “She is just a really nice and well-balanced filly. Everyone really liked her.”
The regally-bred filly is out of Breeders’ Cup F&M Turf (G1) winner Shared Account, herself the dam of Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) winner Sharing.
