Into Mischief gets fifth million-dollar yearling at Keeneland
September 18, 2020
Into Mischief’s remarkable Keeneland September Yearling sale returns yielded his fifth seven-figure lot in the first four days of the auction on Thursday when hip No. 1203 brought an even $1 million.
The winning bidder was Peter Leidel.
Consigned by Warrendale Sales on behalf of breeder Stonestreet Farm, the bay colt is out of Top Flight S. (G2) winner Teen Pauline and is a half-brother to last year’s Kentucky Downs Juvenile Turf S. winner Cambria. Teen Pauline’s dam Effectual was also a stakes winner at two, taking the Debutante (G3) at Churchill Downs.
With 62 yearlings sold to date in 2020, Into Mischief’s average price of $484,274 ranks second on the General Sire list, especially notable because he has had twice as many yearlings sell as any other sire in the top 10.
