Into Mischief filly triumphs in stakes debut
June 3, 2017
Efforting looked very sharp in her 3 1/2-length victory in Friday’s $50,000 Acadiana S. at Evangeline Downs, the first stakes start for the 3-year-old Into Mischief filly owned by the Fair Grounds Racing Club.
A dominant 10-plus length maiden special weight winner two back at Fair Grounds, Efforting made short work of the seven-furlong Acadiana field with a strong turn of foot in the stretch, drawing off in the final furlong despite the best efforts of her closest pursuers.
The winner is trained by Al Stall, Jr. and was bred by Orange Grove Thoroughbreds and sold for $135,000 at the 2015 Keeneland September Yearling sale. Efforting’s dam Get Going Bertie is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Thunder Bertie.
Into Mischief is the sire of six 3-year-old stakes winners in 2017, and is the leading sire of 3-year-olds by winners and wins this year.
