Into Mischief filly tops OBS June Sale at $900,000
June 14, 2019
Into Mischief’s brilliant sales results hit another high-water mark on Friday at the OBS June Sale of 2-year-olds in Training when a filly brought a sale-best bid of $900,000 from Larry Best’s OXO Equine.
This marks the fourth time in the past two years that Into Mischief has had a sales-topper at a 2-year-old sale, more than any other North American sire.
The filly, hip No. 748 consigned by Top Line Sales Agency, sold for $300,000 more than any other juvenile in the auction.
Best is very familiar with the bay filly’s family; he owns her full sister, the multiple Grade 1-placed Rowayton. The filly’s dam Rosemonde is a half-sister to another of Into Mischief’s daughters, the multiple stakes winner Miss Mischief.
Into Mischief’s sales results have translated very well to success on track. He is currently third on the North American General Sire list with $7.1 million in progeny earnings, with eight stakes winners, led by Grade 1 winner Mia Mischief.
