September 18, 2016
Into Mischief’s excellent results from Saturday’s session of the Keeneland September Yearling sale were topped by a $425,000 filly consigned by Columbiana Farm LLC.
Spendthrift Farm, where Into Mischief stands, was the winning bidder on the filly, hip No. 1252. She is out of the Grand Slam mare Grand Breeze, making her a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Cool Cowboy and the stakes-placed Appeal to the Win.
Into Mischief second yearling to top the $300,000 mark also went to Spendthrift for $340,000. The colt, hip No. 1264, was consigned by Vinery Sales, agent and is out of Havenlass, who is a half-sister to Grade 2 winners Royal Haven and Belterra.
Through the first five days of the auction, which runs through Sept. 25, Into Mischief has 21 lots sold for an average of $200,000.
