Into Mischief colt brings $1.2 million at Keeneland
September 13, 2018
Into Mischief’s brilliant stud career hit another milestone Thursday at Keeneland when hip No. 948 sold for $1.2 million, the first seven-figure yearling sold at auction by the Spendthrift stallion.
Castle Park Farm consigned the bay colt, who went to Larry Best’s OXO Equine after a spirited bidding battle. Bred on a stud fee of $45,000, the youngster is out of the unraced Distorted Humor mare Gaudete, the dam of group-placed Snowboarder. Gaudete is a half-sister to the top-class racehorse and sire Munnings and the multiple stakes-winning filly Munning’s Sister.
Book 1 of the Sept. 10-23 sale wrapped up on Thursday, with Into Mischief accounting for nine individuals bringing at least a half-million dollars.
