Hunka Burning Love caps 2020 with fourth stakes win

Into Mischief’s Hunka Burning Love topped a stellar 2020 with a front-running victory in the Jeffrey A. Hawk Memorial S. on Dec. 18 at Remington Park (VIDEO).

The 6-year-old won four stakes during the past year and eight of 14 starts overall in 2020. He is one of 29 stakes winners and 63 stakes horses for his two-time champion sire.

Hunka Burning Love broke sharply from post 2 and took a one-length lead going into the first. He held that margin until the top of the homestretch, when he pulled away from the field, opening up by as much as four lengths before being geared down late to win by 2 ¾-lengths.

With the victory, Hunka Burning Love upped his earnings to $517,329 for End Zone Athletics Inc. The bay was bred in Kentucky by Morris B. Floyd by Chuck Givens
