Gormley gets second winner in three days

Top-10 First-Crop sire Gormley now has a half-dozen winners after Classic Man scored by four lengths in a five-furlong maiden special weight race at Louisiana Downs.

After an early-race duel, Classic Man took over for good nearing the top of the stretch, then drew off in the final furlong to finish up in :58.98.

Monday’s win comes just two days after Mama Rina gave Gormley his fifth winner.

Classic Man races for Evans Thoroughbred Racing LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Cloyce Clark.
