Goldencents colt near top of Keeneland Tuesday returns

Goldencents had the second-highest priced colt during Tuesday’s action at the Keeneland September Yearling sale when Commonwealth New Era Racing went to $235,000 for the bay juvenile
Consigned by Michael and Julia O’Quinn, agent, hip No. 2705 is the second foal from Urloveisasymphony. This is the same family as champion and Grade 1 winner Northern Baby.
Through the first eight days of the auction, Goldencents has had seven lots bring at least $100,000, topped by $260,000 colt, with an average of $91,912. Represented in the sale this year by his first crop, Goldencents has 18 lots remaining in the auction, which runs through Sept. 23.
