Hip No. 216, from the first crop of dual Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) Goldencents, brought a winning bid of $290,000 during Monday’s session of the March 13-14 OBS 2-year-olds in Training Sale.
Consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent, the bay colt went to prominent owner Klaravich Stable, Inc.
A New York-bred, the colt is out of the Speightstown mare Caribbean Lady, who is a half-sister to the mulitple Grade 2-winning mare Halory Leigh.
Goldencents, who stands for $12,500, bred over 500 mares in his first three seasons at stud combined.
