Freedom’s Not Free became Omaha Beach’s third stakes winner of the year with his two-length win in Sunday’s $100,000 Pasadena S. over the Santa Anita Park turf course.

The 3-year-old colt was making his two-turn turf debut in the one-mile affair. Breaking from the inside post, he settled comfortably into second as Friendly Confines led through a half-mile in :47.32. The pace quickened going into the final bend with Freedom’s Not Free getting within a head of the lead turning for home. After a brief tussle, Freedom’s Not Free pulled clear in the final sixteenth to win handily in 1:35.08 on the firm turf.

“The Omaha Beach’s have ran well on the turf and we got him on the turf and he kind of showed us what we might see early on with him,” said winning trainer Mark Glatt. “We have thought the further the better with him all along. He kind of got stuck in a couple of sprints just for the lack of an alternative place to run him. That was a good win today and I do think a mile and an eighth is certainly within his wheelhouse.”

The winner is owned by Blinkers On Racing Stable, Janlois Racing, LLC, Valinor Racing Stable, LLC, Tom Corbett, Adny Kwan and Jay Lester Wagner. Third in the Feb. 16 Baffle S., Freedom’s Not Free is 2-0-2 in five starts and has earned $118,080

Freedom’s Not Free was bred in Kentucky by Cove Springs, LLC and sold for $300,000 at the Fasig-Tipton May 2-year-old sale.

As he has done all year, Omaha Beach continues to top the 2025 Third-Crop sire list, now with more than $1.5 million in progeny earnings and 32 individual winners.
