Flat Out’s Special Blessing rolls to second stakes win
April 27, 2019
Special Blessing shook free of the field about half-way through the $75,000 Evangeline Downs Distaff en route to a dominating 6 ½-length win in the one-mile contest on April 26 (VIDEO).
The 4-year-old Flat Out filly scored her first stakes win a year ago over the same course and distance, and is now 5-2-0 in 12 outings and has earned $209,030 for Coteau Groves Farms LLC. She is one of Flat Out’s 35 winners this year, which tops all Third-Crop sires.
After some early pressure in the first half-mile, Special Blessing began to draw clear and was in full flight in the stretch before being eased under the wire when victory was assured.
The winner was bred by J. Adcock and is out of the Langfuhr mare Langsyne.
