Flat Out filly flies at F-T Under Tack Show
May 17, 2017
A filly from the first crop of multiple Grade 1 winner Flat Out zipped through a furlong in :10 seconds flat on Wednesday during the second day of the Under Tack Show for the May 22-23 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two Year Olds in Training Sale (VIDEO).
The dark bay juvenile’s time was the co-fastest of the day for consignor Paul Sharp and agent Liz Crow, who spoke glowingly of the filly since purchasing her as a yearling for $60,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October Sale.
“She’s really filled out now. She’s a strong filly and almost looks like a colt; she looks a lot like her sire,” said Crow on Wednesday.
Cataloged as hip No. 264, the filly is out of the multiple stakes winner Beau Watch.
Flat Out has a total of five juveniles scheduled to go through the ring during the two-day auction. His first runners are 2-year-olds this year, with his first starter, Bonneville Flats, winning a Keeneland maiden special weight.
