Flat Out filly bounds to first stakes win

Special Blessing pulled clear in the final furlong to best Yes Gorgeous by 1 3/4-lengths in the $75,000 Equine Sales Oaks on May 4 at Evangeline Downs [WATCH RACE].
The 3-year-old Flat Out filly was making just her fifth lifetime start and second in a stakes race. Flat Out is a top-five Second-Crop sire of 2018 by earnings and winners.
Special Blessing, owned by Coteau Grove Farms, came from fourth after a quarter-mile to win going away in 1:40.33 on the fast main track.
The winner was bred by J. Adcock and is the first foal out of Langsyne, who is a sister to multiple stakes winner Requite.
