Dominus colt dominates in debut at Del Mar

Speedy Justice rolled to a 7 ¼-length maiden special weight debut for the 2-year-old Dominus colt Nov. 14 at Del Mar, covering the five furlongs on the grass is a quick :56.17.
Trained by Bob Baffert, the bay colt sped through a quarter-mile in :22.47 as he battled with Too Late for the lead and was side-by-side until the top of the stretch, when Speedy Justice powered clear and was widening all the way to the wire.
The winner was bred by Justice Farm and is owned by Michael and Nydia Sigband. Speedy Justice’s dam Super Seller is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner T. D. Vance.
Multiple Grade 2 winner Dominus has eight stakes horses this year. His largest crop to date will be 2-year-olds of 2020.
