Danza filly waltzes in Saratoga MdSpWt debut
August 29, 2019
Irish Danzing blizted her foes by 6 ½-lengths in her career bow Thursday at Saratoga to give Grade 1 winner Danza his fourth winner from his first crop.
Breaking just behind Aubrey Tate, Irish Danzing chased that filly through a half-mile in :45.79, then readily took the lead in upper stretch and drew off smartly to win eased up as much the best in the six-furlong contest.
The winner was bred by Harry Landry and Redge Clarke. Her stakes-placed dam Irish Ridge is also responsible for the stakes horse Irish Heroine.
Irish Danzing was a $120,000 purchase at the 2019 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in training this April.
