Dame Plata second SW of the week for Cross Traffic
August 11, 2018
Leading First-Crop sire Cross Traffic scored his second stakes winner of the week on Aug. 11 when Dame Plata battled to a 2 1/4-length win in the $50,000 MTA Sales Graduate Futurity at Canterbury Park.
Cross Traffic, a top-three Kentucky Freshman Sire, has had a terrific August, with two stakes winners, three stakes horses, and a maiden special weight winner in the first 11 days of the month.
Dame Plata, who was a blowout debut maiden winner over the same surface on July 13, was tested stoutly by Notte Oscura most of the five furlong trip. It wasn’t until the late stages until the striking gray pulled clear to secure the win. It was nearly a dozen lengths back to the rest of the field.
Dame Plata is a son of Dana’s Lucky Lady and is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner La Glamarosa and stakes winner Paddy O’Lionel. He was bred by Sugarland Thoroughbreds and is owned by Ann Sachdev and Lori Bravo.
