Crossing Alaska takes maiden by 7 1/2-lengths
July 21, 2018
Cross Traffic tallied his fourth first-crop winner on Saturday at Belterra Park when the 2-year-old filly Crossing Alaska strolled to a 7 1/2-length maiden score at five furlongs.
Cross Traffic is a top-three Freshman Sire of winners, with all four coming at different tracks. Crossing Alaska was clearly best of her eight foes, taking the lead early on, then asserting herself in the stretch to win easily over the muddy going.
The winner was bred by Spendthrift Farm and owned by James Chapman and Rowling Oaks Farm.
