Cross Traffic filly struts to second stakes win
September 8, 2018
Dancin Shoes is a perfect two-for-two following her 8 1/2-length win in Saturday’s $100,000 Sadie Diamond Futurity at Hastings Park (VIDEO).
The gray 2-year-old Cross Traffic filly, who won her debut in the $50,000 British Columbia Cup Debutante a month ago, has banked $63,270 for her owners David and Delauryn Pihl.
Dancin Shoes is the third black type winner and fourth black type horse for Cross Traffic, which tops all Freshman Sires in both categories.
Dancin Shoes, in post 7, was three-wide and well off the pace around the first turn, then swiftly made up ground on the backstretch. She took over on the second bend and drew clear in the lane in a very impressive performance.
Owned by her breeders, the winner is from the same family as Santa Anita Oaks (G1) winner Hedonist and Brooklyn H. (G2) winner Seeking Daylight.
