Cross Traffic colt wins fourth straight Grade 1
December 14, 2020
Capocostello showed his class once again on Dec. 13 at Remon Racetrack in Panama, rolling to a 10 ¼-length victory in the Classic Junta Control de Juegos (G1) and equaling a 33-year-old track record.
The chestnut 4-year-old won this race in September of 2019, which started his current winning streak. His overall record stands at 8-2-1 in 11 starts for owner Chestnut Hill Stable.
Capocostello was bred in Kentucky by C. Kidder and N. Cole. His dam Ad Litem is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Fantastic Style.
Cross Traffic trails only fellow Spendthrift sire Goldencents on the Cumulative Third-Crop sire list of black type winners, and tops the list by Grade 1 winners and Grade 1 horses. He will stand the 2021 season for $7,500 S&N.
