Conquest Enforcer too good in $100K Charlie Barley
July 3, 2016
Into Mischief’s stellar 3-year-old racked up his third straight stakes victory on Sunday with a front-running score in the $100,000 Charlie Barley S. at Woodbine.
Conquest Enforcer, Into Mischief’s leading runner in 2016, is one of five stakes horses this year by his sire.
Making just his fourth lifetime start, Conquest Enforcer went right to the front out of the gate, established himself on the lead and never was seriously threatened as he hit the wire 1 1/4-lengths in form of Springhouse.
“When we left the gate, nobody wanted to go to the lead, so we took advantage of that,” jockey Patrick Husbands said. “He’s a natural, athletic racehorse. I’m so happy to be sitting on this horse. It just gave me chills.”
Trained by Mark Casse for Conquest Stables, Conquest Enforcer has three wins, all in stakes, and has now earned $252,735. Conquest Enforcer is a half-brother to Conquest Vivi, winner of the Nandi S. one week ago.
Bred in Canada by Tall Oaks Farm, Conquest Enforcer sold for $210,000 at the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Summer Yearling sale.
