Bell Dozer became the eighth winner for top-10 First-Crop sire Coal Front on Sept. 1 when the 2-year-old tallied a front-running score in a five-furlong turf maiden special weight race at Remington Park [WATCH RACE].
Bell Dozer was in a four-way battle for the early lead as he hugged the fence on the backstretch. He maintained his inside spot on the turn as he began to widen his margin., then spurted clear at the top of the stretch to win by 1 ¾-lengths.
The dark bay is owned by Country Bro Stables, LLC and was bred in Kentucky by BHMFR, LLC.
In addition to his eight winner, Coal Front is the sire of twice stakes-placed colt Good and Stout. Coal Front is the only freshman sire currently in the top 10 who has 50 percent winners from starters.
